Astral Onyx Anthologies

A vessel of magic and spirit.

Celebrating Black Voices and Imaginative Storytelling

Astral Onyx Anthologies, wants to shine spotlight on the rich tapestry of Black voices and their unique and different contributions to the world of speculative fiction. Published under Win's Books Publishing, our anthologies are set to celebrate the Black diaspora, diversity, and creativity. We invite Black writers and creatives from all over the diaspora to share their short stories, and allow readers to delve into their imaginative worlds and compelling narratives.

Our worDS speak for Themselves

We are open to a wide range of themes based on a type of mythical creature , but each anthology will have a specific focus. Please scroll down to the bottom of this page for current themes. Genres we accept include fantasy, science fiction, horror, speculative fiction, and magical realism. We encourage stories that push boundaries and explore new ideas!

Big Ideas, Real Impact.

We want to amplify Black voices and provide a platform for stories that explore Black joy and imagination. We believe in the transformative power of storytelling and its ability to foster understanding, empathy, and connection. Our anthologies aim to entertain and also to inspire and celebrate the diversity of perspectives within the Black community!

Okay, but why Mythical Creatures?

Mythical creatures offer a unique lens through which we can explore human emotions, societal issues, and the mysteries of the universe! By centering our anthologies around a specific theme, we encourage writers and readers to delve deep, uncovering new angles and perspectives.
