With the new book coming out this August, we bought it would be a good idea to give a run down of the Gods’ Scion series written by our founder Winnifred Tataw. The Gods' Scion is an urban YA fantasy series written by indie author Winnifred Tataw. The story is set in a modern world governed by powerful, volatile gods, weaving high-stakes magic with deeply relatable contemporary issues.
The narrative spans multiple perspectives but centers heavily on Prince Rodrick Purcill—a dragon-human hybrid and the chosen Acolyte of Time—and Princess Arcelia as they navigate dark magic, heavy emotional trauma, and massive systemic corruption.
